We are a small child care and pre-school with a six-to-one child/teacher ratio. Our small size allows us to keep a very close heart centered relationship with your child. In our individualized approach, we observe the child as she interacts with our carefully prepared environment, and we provide her the lessons and the experience she needs to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Fully Equipped Montessori Classroom
Our classroom is fully equipped with authentic Montessori materials. The materials are beautifully organized in lower shelves ready for the child to use them at any time during our two hours work period. There are no missing parts or broken pieces. We love and respect all the materials we have, and we teach the child to do the same.
Montessori-Trained Directress
The directress at Blue Lotus Montessori was trained and certified by Age of Montessori, a program that focus on the essence of the Montessori educational philosophy. The directress understands the need to respect the child and to allow her to work under the guidance of her own inner teacher.
Strong Phonics Reading Program
Our curriculum is largely based on a strong phonics program. We aim on preparing the child for the important task of reading and writing. Therefore, we have an abundance of multi-sensory language materials, many of them handcrafted by the directress, making learning to read a fun and fulfilling experience for each child.
Math Made Fun
Our students are given the opportunity to explore math in a concrete way using the beautifully crafted hands-on Montessori materials. The Montessori math curriculum is incredibly simple and yet very effective in presenting the most basic principles of math to the young child.
